Downeast Cider House “Pumpkin Blend”

It’s that time for me to pick up my Perpetual Journey to taste ALL the Pumpkin Ales! Pumpkin BlendHowever, this time I’m starting with a Cider. Yep a Pumpkin Cider. I’ve been hesitant in the past to travel down the Pumpkin Cider path. Simply because there have always been an over abundance of tasty gourd beers to work through. This year I’m curious though.
Downeast Cider House Pumpkin Blend pours an opaque tan Apple Cider color with orange edges. It smells familiar like Apple Cider with some fall type Pumpkin Pie spices. The taste is Apple Cider, Pumpkin Pie spices; big cinnamon, clove, and allspice. The mouth-feel is medium with light carbonation. The finish is apple, and warming fall spice. The 5% abv is just about undetectable. I also liked that this is canned. I’m very happy I took a chance on this, and want more. Here’s to Good Beers!
