Fegley’s Brew Works “Hop’Solutely” Triple IPA

This past winter I had the pleasure of stopping by the Bethlehem Brew Works Brewery & Restaurant , in Bethlehem, PA. My experience was excellent. The food was great, and the beer was top notch. Being a “Hop Head” myself I ordered the “Stop Hop and Roll” Double IPA. I was very impressed with The Brew Works and hope to visit one of their locations again soon. Nothing beats fresh hoppy beer! Until then their beers may be available at your local brew store under the official name of Fegley’s Brew Works. I recently picked up another hoppy offering from Fegley’s at my local brew store last week since I loved their Double IPA so much.
Fegley’s Brew Works “Hop’SolutelyTriple IPA poured a cloudy deep sunset orange hue with a huge three finger off-white head that reduces to a thin line. The aroma was sweet with floral hops, grapefruit, pine sap, caramel, malt and alcohol. The taste was sweet, sticky, syrupy and malty with slightly abrasive alcohol at first sip or two. I let this brew warm up to near room temperature to open up and it definitely mellowed out to reveal sweet fruity, malty flavors accompanied with bitter, floral hoppy flavors. The mouthfeel was medium and creamy with moderate carbonation. The finish is long, bitter-sweet and dry. The 11.5% ABV is pretty strong as one might imagine, making this a sipping beer to be enjoyed over a longer period of time. This is a very big beer and probably not an IPA you want to suggest to your friends who are not avid Hop Heads! However, if you are like me and just can get enough hops this beer is one to be had! Here’s to Good Beers!
