Brewdog “Hardcore IPA”

Has anyone else noticed that some breweries are reaching popularity comparable to “Rock Star Status”? I for one have noticed this. Without actually naming any particular breweries, I think this is awesome, and totally deserved! So if there are “Rock Star” Breweries, there must be a dirty, “Punk Rock” brewery to break the rules, be rowdy, scoff at trends and make great beer. Strap on your Doc Martens, tighten your suspenders, secure your safety pins and put on your best studded belts, because there is a super rad Punk brewery out there!
Brewdog Brewery’sHardcore IPA” pours a hazy copper with a bone white one finger thick head. A medley of big citrus hops mixed with caramel and fresh vanilla dominates the aroma. The taste also showcases the bitter citrus hops upfront, as this brew warms the fresh sticky caramel, bready malt flavor kicks in. The 9.2% Abv is always present but never offensive. The finish is smooth, syrupy with a sweet hoppy bite. The aftertaste reminds me of salted caramel. The mouthfeel is medium to full with moderate carbonation. This is a great Imperial IPA that is not for the faint of heart! This is beer done in the spirit of Punk! It is unapologetic, it is in your face, it is big, over the top and obnoxiously proud of it! Oi, Oi, Oi! Here’s to Good Beers!
