Over the past couple years I have enjoyed when my wife and I go down to visit her parents in Delaware. They are only a stone’s throw from several breweries. One I always make sure I visit while in the area has been Evolution Craft Brewing Co.. However, Evo recently moved to a larger facility in Salisbury, MD. Luckily it is only about 10 minutes further away from their original Delmar, DE location. I met at the new Evolution Brewery and Pubilc House with a beer buddy I had not seen in couple years, Jason (AKA @BeerCruiser). You can check out his write up on our meet –>Here<–. My purpose for this post is to highlight what I believe and I think Jason might agree is one of Evo’s best staple brews…
Evolution Craft Brewery’s “Lot No.3” IPA is a brew I always make sure I grab a growler and bring it back to NJ! It pours a golden copper color, and sports a one finger thick white head that provides excellent lacing. The aroma is pure fresh piney & fruity hops, with sweet caramel and vanilla. The taste follows the smell with a sticky bitter orange citrus hop flavor, and sweet malt backbone. The mouthfeel is medium and the finish is bitter and wet. The 6.8% is controlled very well. This is a great IPA and if you get the chance, it is best enjoyed brewery fresh with a buddy! Here’s to Good Beers!
