Avery Brewing Co’s “Salvation”

We all know the saying. I see it used everywhere now in the craft beer world, on t-shirts, posters, Twitter and Facebook. “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” This crafty quote is attributed to Benjamin Franklin, although I have seen no proof he actually said it. Either way I love this quote, even if Ben didn’t write or say it. Beer can be a sort of religious experience for some I suppose. Especially the when one experiences the “Epiphany Beer”. That moment (particular beer) in your life when you realized that there was this whole other world of beer that goes beyond what we see in commercials during sporting events! Still looking for that divine epiphany brew? Check out this one…
Avery Brewing Co’sSalvationBelgian Golden Ale pours a vibrant hazy gold color with a two finger white head. The aroma is spicy with sweet fruit, yeast and grape juice. The taste is is malty sweet, with a light fruitiness, citrus hops, spice and alcohol. The finish is spicy and sweet with an earthy hop bite and a slight alcohol burn, although the 9% ABV is never overpowering. The mouthfeel is full and creamy with moderate carbonation. This is a big and tasty Belgian brew. For those of you who have been standoff-ish to the Belgian style… Repent it is time for your craft beer conversion! Here’s to Good Beers!
