Big Boss Brewing “Monkey Bizz-Ness”

With summer right around the corner I find myself looking for fun and interesting brews to enjoy outside. Something versatile that can pair with grilling, hanging in the hammock, or by a campfire. Something different from the “Summer” labeled and marketed craft beers. Something complex but doesn’t take itself too serioulsy at the same time. One such beer was sent my way recently.
Big Boss Brewing CompanyMonkey Bizz-Ness” Imperial Farmhouse Ale (Belgian Strong Ale) pours a golden bronze color, with a thin copper head. The aroma is yeasty with big banana notes, sweet caramel, cinnamon and coriander. Just like the aroma, the taste starts with big Belgian yeast and sweet malt. Hints of banana and apple can be found playing along side bubble gum, honey and spicy coriander. The mouth-feel is medium with sharp carbonation. The 9%abv is evident in the slightly hot finish as one would expect from this type of beer. This would probably age well over six months to a year. If you are lucky enough to be in the distribution area of Big Boss, this is def worth checking out! Here’s to Good Beers!
