Elysian “Night Owl”

Fall is here and my annual quest for delicious Pumpkin Ales is officially in full swing. Now is the time that I scour all my local brew stores for new pumpkin beers to try and pick up all my old favorites to have on hand! It is no secret that I am a pumpkin brew fanatic! Autumn is my favorite season, I am a huge fan of pumpkin pie and pumpkin spiced treats. So I am more than ready for crisp air, colorful leaves and copious amounts of pumpkin ale! My journey for tasty pumpkin brew led me to a 22 oz. bottle from Seattle, Wa.
Elysian Brewin Co.’s “Night Owl” Pumpkin Ale pours a hazy sunset orange, with a two finger light tan fluffy head. The aroma captures the essence of pumpkin pie. That is most always good sign of great things to come. The taste  includes all the staple pumpkin pie spices along with roasted malt and pumpkin meat. The finish is sweet and spicy. The mouthfeel is medium with moderate carbonation. The 5.9% ABV was nearly undetectable. This is a solid Pumpkin Brew that I would happily drink again and again!  It’s Fall everyone, celebrate with a spicy gourd ale! Here’s to Good Beers!
