Firestone Walker “Double Jack”

I know I have been on a summer beer kick as of late, but the heat isn’t going to stop me from enjoying a big and tasty, full bodied brew! More specifically a Double IPA. I know you are thinking “DIPA on a hot summer day?”. To that I say “Yeah dude, there are some refreshing DIPA’s out there that won’t wreck your palate!”. I didn’t say it was sessionable, I’m just sayin’ a tasty Double IPA may be the perfect night cap to a cool summer night. If you don’t wanna take my word for it, I have just the brew to help you change your tune!
Firestone WalkerDouble Jack” DIPA pours a clear copper color, with a foamy off white head that reduces quickly. The commanding aroma delivers ripe sticky grapefruit, citrus hops, fresh bread, sweet malt and yeast. The taste presents bread and bitter hops in every sip, supported by a strong malt backbone. The mouthfeel is full, sticky, and creamy. The finish is sweet and bitter with some heat from the deceptive 9.5% ABV. This is one of the most balanced Double IPA’s out there! Simply a must have, and perfect to end a back yard grill session with. Here’s to Good Beers!

This is one of my favorite beers, let alone DIPA’s, of all time. Not being a “hop-head”, I am always a bit hesitant to drink IPA’s and DIPA’s for the simple reason that I don’t prefer the bitterness of overly hoppy beer. Double Jack is so well balanced that I have bought several bottles and try to spread its good graces to my beer and non-beer drinking friends. Glad you have the same opinion.
