Lakefront “Pumpkin Lager”

Here I go again taking another step in my perpetual journey to experience tasty Pumpkin beers. Over the past year and a half I have enjoyed Pumpkin Stouts, Pumpkin Amber Ale, regular Pumpkin Ales and Imperial Pumpkin Ales. The amount of gourded beer being brewed in the world is almost countless, which is fine by me! I know that every fall I will have new pumpkin brews to explore and be able to kick back with old favs from years past!
Lake Front Brewery’sPumpkin Lager” pours a slightly hazy orange color with a thin white head that lasts only for a moment. All the standard pumpkin spices (cinnamon, allspice, clove, and nutmeg) are present in the malty sweet and slightly fruity aroma. The taste is just what the smell had described, but has a slightly earthy hops kick as well. The finish is dry and spicy. The mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation. Overall this is brew is dead on in the pumpkin spice department and decent as a session brew, ringing in a 5.42% ABV. It’s nice to have a lighter more sessionable pumpkin ale that isn’t too thin or watery! I’d drink this again gladly. Here’s to Good Beers!
