The Lost Abbey “Gift of The Magi”

Gift of the Magi      It’s a little late but, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I got pretty busy the past few weeks. This was to be my Christmas posting but I never had the chance to schedule it. I’ll be back on a regular review schedule from now on. So… here’s my Annual Christmas beer review one month late!
This Christmas I’m reminded of the very first Christmas, and the gifts given be the Three Wise Men or the Magi! We all know that the Magi did not give the gift of beer, but here is a beer that is worthy of any Wise Man’s attention…
The Lost AbbeyThe Gift of the Magi“pours a light amber color with a sick foamy head on top. The aromas of malt, Bready yeast and spice are quick to fill the air. The taste begins with rich caramel, then introduces ripened fruit with spices. The lofty 10%abv is definitely present and welcome in a cheery warming way from start to finish. The mouth-feel is full and the finish is spicy and boozy. This is a delicious Belgian style ale that is incredibly appropriate for the Holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year All! Here’s to Good Beers!
