Weyerbacher “Sunday Morning Stout”

SMSIf I were to spit out these letters… KBS or, BCBS, you would know exactly what I was talking about. Incredibly desirable barrel aged beer. The kind of beer that people pay exorbitant amounts of money to get a 12oz bottle of or two bottles (one to cellar) if they are lucky! Allow me to say I think a few more letters should be added to this list of highly sought after stouts. SMS.!
WeyerbacherSunday Morning Stout” Aged in bourbon barrels with coffee. It pours an opaque black color, with an airy brown head. The aroma give off huge freshly ground espresso notes with mild chocolate and bourbon. The taste is the reverse of the smell. The bourbon is solid upfront with a nice medium roast coffee follow up. Also in the flavor mix is vanilla, oak, molasses, malt and dark fruit. The mouth-feel is full and slick. The 11%abv is high, as it should be for the style but not distracting. The finish is dry and rich. A true breakfast stout! Here’s to Good Beers!
